Sara Sallam [1991] is an Egyptian multi-disciplinary artist, based in the Netherlands, working with still and moving images, prose, and archival material. Her growing interest in artistic research and non-linear narrative strategies is reflected in her independent projects. Her first photobook ‘The Invisible: Faith as a Phenomenon’ was shortlisted in Kassel Photobook Award, PhotoIndependent Art Fair, and was exhibited in Offprint London and Format Festival. Her body of work ‘The Fourth Pyramid Belongs to Her’ was awarded two grants, participated in exhitions in Cairo, Amsterdam and Nicosia, and was shortlisted in Lang-Taylor Prize. Apart from her documentary practice, Sara worked in film editing, web design, and motion graphics.
